VpPaPiP2m3What started off as a challenge to watch 1,000 different movies has turned into a lifestyle!

Now a fifth year in college and a full-fledged film student, this blog is designed to give you the reviews of various moves I’ve watched, both from school and in my spare time. Along the way, there will be a few tv reviews thrown in there and there, and a dash of geekery as I see fit.

As of late, I’ve seen around 1,100 movies and the number is still climbing. My favorites generally tend to be the more artsy, slice-of-life kind of genres featuring the same music throughout the entire film. Yes, I like Garden State. However, that doesn’t mean I shun the more mainstream movies. I just like a bit of everything.

Some of my favorite movies would fall under the B Movie, or even not so great category. My favorites tend to be a bit older, Star Wars, Dead Poets Society, and even Singing in the Rain. At some point or another, I will refer to any director as my favorite, but the top contenders are Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and Hayao Miyazaki. If anyone ever tells you that all anime is stupid, slap them in the face and make them watch a Miyazaki film. Or any Studio Ghibli film for that matter. Even if you don’t convert them, you’ll be glad you did. For one reason or another.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the mess I mean show!
